BESTEST ADVENCHER
I am writing about my wondurful day and becuz my Mom said it would be good practiss.
I am not a good printer and I am a bad speller becuz I am only 7 but that is not what this is about.
I went to church today and I dont like to go becuz we have to stay so long and they make me sing songs I dont reely like. I wanted to stay home but I am glad I went.
The only good thing about church is I get to see my frend Mindy who is very pretty and I think she likes me a lot.
Well today Mindy was crying and the Sunday skool teecher was hugging her and I dont know why. Why was she crying.
The teacher then said Mindys Mom was in the hopsital and had a mergency surgy and she was very sick. The teecher told us to pray for her Mom and all of a sudden I wanted her Mom to be well more than anything in the world. Becuz it would make Mindy happy.
The teecher said we should use our own words when we asked God to help Mindys Mom.
I put my head down and put my hands together but I peeked up at Mindy. She had her hands together but her eyes were clozed.
I clozed my eyes and skweezed my hands reel tight and asked God to make Mindys Mom all better. I told God she was a nice lady and Mindy luvved her very much and I dident want to see Mindy sad.
I told God that her Mom was at the table one time selling cakes and sweet stuff and she looked at me looking at a big choklitt cookie and she gave it to me for free. Her Mom smiled at me and her smile was very pretty just like Mindy.
I liked Mindys Mom becuz she always said hello to me even if I dident say hello back. I washed her smile at evry body and I could see her heart was big. I told God the world needs more nice peeple and I dident want her to be sick any more.
Now I was crying too. I no God is very very good and I wanted her to be reel well reel fast. I told God I luvved him and asked him to make her better for me so I could see her smile again.
I asked God not to take her away from us and I must have said it out loud becuz now Mindy was next to me and hugging me.
Evry body else was looking at me funny but I was happy I told God what I wanted.
Mindy gave me a little kiss on my cheek and she said thank you.
Then Mindys Dad came in to the room and said sumthing to the teecher. The teecher shook her head up and down and hugged Mindys Dad.
Her Dad then told us Mindys Mom was going to be all better and that the surgy had helped and that our praying had helped and I was so happy I clapped my hands and shouted thank you God and they looked at me funny again.
I want to go to church now and I want to see Mindy smile and her Dad smile and I reely want to see Mindys Mom smile. I want to pray to God to help evry body that needs help.
I no now that it is important to pray and that God can help us.

If only some adults would – Get It – as easily as a child.

I love that this important lesson about prayers comes from the perspective of a child. We don’t have to pray perfectly!
