A LETTER FROM LILY
Dear God:
I am going to be 8 and my birthday is pretty soon. My Mommy makes me blueberry cupcakes with creamy frosting on my birthdays, but this year I am going to make them for her. My Mommy is very sick with something I don’t know how to spell.
My Daddy is a good Dad and my older brother Brian helps me a lot, but my Mommy teaches me everything and I miss her very much while she’s in the hospital. She taut me how to pray to you and that you were always listening and watching over us. So you must know I have been praying to you all the time. I hope I haven’t kept you too busy.
My Mommy doesn’t just help me but she’s always helping others in our neighborhood and at our church. I know she has always wanted to be with you in heaven and I could understand why you would want her. I have asked you a big favor to not take her just yet.
Today the doctor told my Dad that my Mommy was in remishin and he told me and my brother what that means and we were all so happy we hugged each other and cried for a long time.
My Mommy will be coming home soon and I’m going to make the cupcakes for her. I want to tell you thank you and that now I will pray for you.
I know you answer a lot of prayers and help a lot of people and that you might need somebody to just not ask you for anything but just be thankful for what you have given us.
